A rule is written, strong and clear,
Its meaning travels year to year.
A song is sung, a story told;
New hands can carry what is old.
A grandparent shares a family way,
A child remembers what they say.
A lesson learned from long ago
Can plant a seed that starts to grow.
A painter's work, a writer's page,
Can speak to people age to age.
Though years may pass and times may change,
Good ideas can still remain.
A dream can travel heart to heart;
One helpful choice can make a start.

May someday travel beyond us too.
